Part-Time Design & Technology Teacher – Chesterfield (ASAP or September 2026 Start) The Supply Register is working in partnership with a forward-thinking secondary school in Chesterfield to recruit a Part-Time Design & Technology Teacher, with an ASAP start or a September 2026 start available. This role is ideal for a creative and passionate DT specialist who enjoys inspiring students through practical, hands-on learning, innovation, and design. Timetable: Wednesday, Thursday, and Friday (mornings) The role includes: • Delivering engaging DT lessons across Key Stage 3 and 4 • Planning and adapting lessons to support all learners • Developing students’ practical, design, and problem-solving skills • Assessing, tracking, and providing meaningful feedback • Maintaining a safe and well-organised workshop environment • Contributing to curriculum development and enrichment activities We’re looking for candidates who: • Hold QTS or equivalent teaching qualification • Have experience teaching Design & Technology in secondary schools • Demonstrate strong subject knowledge (e.g. product design, engineering, resistant materials or similar) • Are passionate about practical, hands-on learning • Have strong classroom and behaviour management skills • Work effectively as part of a collaborative team Why apply? • Competitive daily pay rates • Flexible part-time working (Wed–Fri mornings only) • ASAP or September 2026 start options • Long-term opportunity with potential extension • Ongoing CPD and professional development • Supportive school environment with strong leadership Interested?
