Payroller Officer

Job Description Part Time Permanent Position \n 2-3 days a week \n Hybrid working/Remote working \n Our client is seeking an experienced Payroll & Pensions Officer to join their busy team \Provide input to the external payroll bureau and review outputs to ensure accuracy and completeness \n Validate payroll calculations, including pay, deductions, and statutory requirements \n Monitor and reconcile bureau outputs, identifying and resolving discrepancies \n Ensure timely and accurate payroll processing in line with organisational deadlines \n Ensure compliance with all relevant payroll and pension legislation \n HMRC, pension providers, and other statutory bodies)\n Manage and respond to requests for information in line with legal and regulatory requirements \n Maintain accurate records and audit trails \n Support pension processes including contributions, enrolment, and reporting \n Liaise with pension providers to ensure accurate and compliant administration \n Monitor pension data integrity and resolve issues \n Act as the key point of contact within the organisation for payroll and pensions queries \n Provide clear and timely communication on payroll matters \n Support the implementation of a new payroll bureau and system \n Contribute to system testing, data validation, and process design \n Assist with transition planning and knowledge transfer \Demonstrable experience in public sector payroll \n Strong knowledge of pensions administration and legislation \n Experience working with external payroll bureaus \n Proven ability to validate payroll outputs and resolve discrepancies \n Experience of payroll system or bureau transitions \n Familiarity with payroll compliance and audit requirements \n If you have all of the above, and you are seeking a part-time role only, then please apply now \Hays Specialist Recruitment Limited acts as an employment agency for permanent recruitment and employment business for the supply of temporary workers.
