Primary Higher Level Teaching Assistant (HLTA) – Full Time
Location: DN12
Start Date: September 2026
Provide Education is currently seeking an enthusiastic and experienced Higher Level Teaching Assistant (HLTA) to join a welcoming primary school in the DN12 area from September.
This is a full-time position, with the successful candidate likely to be based in Lower Key Stage 2 (Years 3–4), supporting pupils' learning and delivering high-quality interventions and whole-class teaching when required.
The Role
Full-time, Monday to Friday
September start
Likely placement within Lower Key Stage 2
Deliver planned lessons in the absence of the class teacher
Support teaching and learning across the classroom
Lead small group and intervention sessions
Work collaboratively with teaching staff to ensure positive outcomes for all pupilsThe Ideal Candidate
Holds a recognised HLTA qualification or has significant experience working at HLTA level
Has recent experience within a UK primary school
Confident delivering lessons across the primary curriculum
Has excellent behaviour management skills
Is passionate about helping children achieve their full potential
Holds an enhanced DBS on the Update Service, or is willing to obtain one through Provide EducationWhat We Offer
