Job Title: Locum Consultant Psychiatrist - Adult Mental Health

Location: Scotland (UK-wide opportunities available)

Rate: £100 - £115 per hour

Contract Type: Locum (short‑term and long‑term assignments available)

Start Date: 6th July

About the Role

The role is to work within multidisciplinary teams to provide high‑quality psychiatric care to adults with complex mental‑health needs.

Key Responsibilities

• Conduct psychiatric assessments and reviews
• Lead treatment planning and clinical decision‑making
• Support junior medical staff and multidisciplinary teams
• Collaborate with community services and external partners

Essential Qualifications

• MBBS or equivalent medical degree
• Full GMC registration with licence to practise
• Section 12/Section 22 and Approved/Responsible Clinician status (or eligibility)
• Current Disclosure and Barring Service (DBS) check or PVG check – or willingness to undergo one during registration
• Experience in adult mental‑health settings
• UK Right to Work
• A flexible, collaborative, and patient‑focused approach

Desirable Qualifications

• CCT in General Adult Psychiatry (or within 6 months of achieving it)
