The Role

As a Senior/Principal Structural Technician, you will take a lead role in the production and delivery of structural engineering drawings and BIM models across all project stages.

Key responsibilities include:

• Leading the production of 2D & 3D structural drawings from concept through to construction
• Managing and maintaining BIM/Revit standards across projects
• Reviewing and coordinating technical drawings and models across disciplines
• Overseeing multiple BIM projects and supervising model production
• Supporting engineers with design development and technical detailing
• Mentoring and developing junior technicians
• Liaising with clients, architects, and other stakeholders
• Driving continuous improvement of digital processes and innovation

About You

To be considered, you should have:

• A minimum of 6 years’ experience in structural engineering or a related field
• Strong proficiency in Revit, AutoCAD, and BIM processes
• Experience working on complex, multi-phase developments
• A detailed understanding of BIM standards (including BIM Level 2)
• Experience producing and reviewing detailed structural models and drawings
• Strong communication skills with the ability to coordinate across disciplines
• Experience mentoring or supervising junior team members

Professional membership (e.g. EngTech, IEng, IStructE) and familiarity with ISO standards would be advantageous.
