About the Role:
We are seeking an experienced and highly skilled Heavy Plant Fitter to join our team in South Wales. This is an excellent opportunity for a dedicated professional with a strong background in maintaining and repairing heavy plant machinery to work within a well-established and growing operation.
Key Responsibilities:
Carry out maintenance, servicing, and repairs on a wide range of heavy plant equipment (e.g., excavators, dumpers, loaders).
Diagnose faults efficiently using both manual and diagnostic tools.
Perform inspections and ensure all machinery meets safety and operational standards.
Complete job reports and maintain accurate service records.
Respond to breakdowns both in the workshop and on-site when required.
Ensure compliance with health and safety regulations at all times.
Requirements:
Minimum of 10 years' proven experience as a Heavy Plant Fitter or similar role.
Strong knowledge of hydraulic, mechanical, and electrical systems.
Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
Full UK driving licence (essential).
Relevant qualifications in plant maintenance, engineering, or similar (preferred).
Excellent problem-solving skills and attention to detail.
