Contracts Administrator Location: Nelson Employment Type: Full-time, Temporary (Temporary to Permanent for the right candidate) Salary: £12.71 per hour About the Role Our client based in Nelson is looking to recruit a highly organised and detail-oriented Contracts Administrator to join our team. This role is responsible for supporting the administration of contracts throughout their lifecycle, ensuring documentation is accurate, deadlines are met, and contractual obligations are effectively managed. Working closely with project managers, finance, procurement, and clients, you will play a key role in maintaining compliance, improving contract processes, and supporting successful project delivery. Key Responsibilities • Prepare, review, and administer contracts, agreements, and related documentation. • Maintain accurate contract records and document management systems. • Monitor contract milestones, renewals, variations, and expiry dates. • Coordinate contract approvals and ensure all required documentation is complete. • Liaise with clients, suppliers, subcontractors, and internal stakeholders regarding contractual matters. • Assist with contract negotiations and amendments where required. • Track project documentation, correspondence, and compliance requirements. • Support project teams with contract administration and reporting. • Ensure compliance with company policies, legal requirements, and contractual obligations. • Identify potential contractual risks and escalate issues where appropriate. About You To be successful in this role, you will have: • Previous experience in a Contracts Administrator, Project Administrator, or similar administrative role. • Strong organisational skills with exceptional attention to detail. • Excellent written and verbal communication skills. • Ability to manage multiple priorities and meet deadlines. • Strong problem-solving and analytical skills. • Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite, particularly Excel and Word. • Experience using contract management or document management systems is desirable. • A professional, proactive, and collaborative approach. Desirable Qualifications • Certificate or Diploma in Business Administration, Project Management, Contract Management, or a related field. • Experience in construction, engineering, manufacturing, government, or commercial contracting environments. • Understanding of contract terminology and procurement processes.
