Highly regarded Scottish law firm with a strong reputation across the private client market, is seeking an experienced and ambitious Private Client Partner to join its team in Glasgow. This is a strategic appointment offering the opportunity to play a key role in the continued development of an established private client practice.You will inherit a quality caseload, work with a loyal client base and have the autonomy to shape the future direction of the department. The firm advises high-net-worth individuals, business owners, landed estates, trustees and families on a broad range of wealth preservation and succession planning matters.

Role Profile:

As a Partner within the Private Client team, you will:

• Advise clients on wills, trusts and succession planning.

\t

Provide inheritance tax, capital gains tax and estate planning advice.

\t

Assist high-net-worth individuals and family business owners with wealth preservation strategies.

\t

Manage the administration of complex estates and executries.

\t

Advise trustees, beneficiaries and family trusts.

\t

Support clients with powers of attorney and guardianship matters.

\t

Develop and maintain strong client relationships.

\t

Contribute to business development initiatives and raise the profile of the firm within the market.

\t

Mentor and develop junior lawyers within the team.

Candidate Requirements:

• Significant experience in private client law gained within a respected practice.

\t

A proven track record of advising high-net-worth individuals and families.

\t

Strong technical expertise across trusts, executries, tax and succession planning.

\t

Excellent client relationship and networking skills.

\t

A commercial and entrepreneurial approach.

\t

Experience of business development and generating new instructions.

\t

The ability to lead, mentor and inspire a successful team.

\t

Existing following or portable business is welcomed but is not essential for exceptional candidates.
