Test Analyst
Permanent/ Contract - Hybrid with some travel to East Kilbride & Surrounding areas

The role:
We are seeking an experienced Test Analyst to join the team responsible for the development and execution of test plans. In this role, you will undertake Test planning, Test estimates and Test reporting. You will work closely with Test Leads and Project managers. This is an excellent opportunity for someone who wants to make a significant impact within a growing team.
Responsibilities:
Undertake the scoping of Acceptance Testing, System Testing, Integration Testing and UAT, in line with the defined Test methodology
Provide Test estimates to Test Analyst Lead/ Project Managers for integration into the overall project plan
Validate and verify systems, ensuring that the delivered software is stable, robust and meets relevant functional standards
Provide Test metric reports and progress against planned activities
Provide Test advice/ guidance to members of the business based UAT team
Provide high quality system test cases and acceptance test documentation ensuring appropriate attention is paid to project entry/ exit criteria checkpoints.
Construct and execute system test cases in accordance with project timelines and key milestones
Be responsible for executing test scripts against the application deliverable, raising / managing defects using defect management/ tracking tools and where required, assisting with the root cause analysis.
Skills & Experience:
Understanding of SDLC (Software Development Life Cycle) and STLC (Software Testing Life Cycle)
Knowledge of Functional testing, System testing, Integration testing & User Acceptance Testing (UAT)
Experienced in writing test cases, test scripts, and test scenarios
Creating test plans and test strategies
Executing tests and recording results
Defect/bug reporting and tracking
Ability to: Log defects clearly, Prioritise and track issues & work with developers to resolve defects
Familiarity with various testing tools
Basic scripting knowledge (e.g. Python, Java, JavaScript) is a plus
Basic SQL knowledge
Strong problem-solving ability
Attention to detail
Analyse requirements
Desirable skills:
BPSS / NPPV or SC cleared
