Mechanical Building Services Design Engineer Location: Nottingham Salary: Up to £35,000 + Benefits Are you an ambitious Mechanical Building Services Design Engineer ready to take the next step in your career? We're recruiting on behalf of a well-established and growing building services consultancy looking to expand its talented design team. This is an excellent opportunity for a graduate engineer with around two years of experience who is keen to work on a diverse range of commercial, residential, education, healthcare, and mixed-use projects. Working alongside experienced engineers, you'll be involved in projects from initial concept through to completion, gaining valuable exposure and developing your technical and professional skills in a supportive environment. The Role * Design mechanical building services including HVAC, heating, ventilation, cooling, and public health systems. * Prepare calculations, specifications, technical reports, and design documentation. * Produce and coordinate drawings using AutoCAD and Revit. * Work closely with architects, clients, contractors, and other engineering disciplines. * Attend project meetings and occasional site visits. * Support the delivery of high-quality, sustainable engineering solutions. About You * Degree in Mechanical Engineering, Building Services Engineering, or a related discipline. * Around two years' experience in mechanical building services design. * Knowledge of UK building regulations and relevant design standards. * Experience with AutoCAD and Revit; familiarity with IES, Hevacomp, or similar software is advantageous. * Strong communication skills and a proactive approach to problem-solving. * Eager to learn, develop, and progress your career.
