Forklift Engineer

Monday to Friday | 40 hours per week | Flexible start/finish times The Opportunity An exciting opportunity has arisen for an experienced Forklift Engineer to join a well-established business maintaining its own fleet of specialist forklifts. This is a workshop-based role where you'll take ownership of the maintenance, servicing and repair of a modern fleet, working closely with the operations team to ensure maximum uptime across the business. The Role * Service, repair and maintain a fleet of side loader forklifts * Diagnose and rectify mechanical, electrical and hydraulic faults * Carry out planned preventative maintenance and inspections * Ensure all equipment is maintained to a safe and reliable standard * Manage workshop stock and order replacement parts when required * Complete maintenance records accurately * Liaise with operational teams to minimise downtime * Maintain a clean, organised and safe workshop About You You'll ideally have experience working on forklifts, plant machinery or similar mobile equipment. You'll have: * Experience servicing, maintaining and repairing forklifts, plant or material handling equipment * Strong mechanical, hydraulic and basic electrical fault-finding skills * The ability to work independently and manage your own workload * Good organisational and communication skills * A proactive approach to maintenance and problem solving * A full UK driving licence A forklift licence would be advantageous but isn't essential.
