Class 2 Tramper Driver

Drivers Direct Recruitment are looking to recruit an experienced HGV 2 tramper driver on for our client in Barnsley for ongoing work.

Hours of work:

• Monday to Friday
• 0730 starts
• 1 or 2 nights out each week paid at £26.50 tax free! DRIVER WILL NEED TO BE FLEXIBLE TO BE ABLE TO NIGHT OUT AS AND WHEN REQUIRED.
• Guaranteed 8 hours pay each day minimum!

Salary:

• £15.01 p/h + £1.82 holiday pay (accrued)
• £26.50 per night Tax Free
• Minimum 8 hours pay per shift.
• Paid weekly.
• Example gross pay = £15.01 x 45 hours + £675.45 + £26.50 = £701.95 with £81.90 in accrued holiday pay.

The Role:

• Ongoing work (potential to go perm)
• Trunking work on the whole, some long runs up to Scotland with a night out.
• Delivery of plastics and drainage equipment.

Duties/Responsibilities:

• Carrying out relevant daily vehicle safety checks and reporting as per Operational Procedures.
• Ensure all delivery and collections are carried out in accordance with company procedures.
• To deliver & collect to customers in a safe and professional manner.
• To complete all work related paperwork in full and hand in at the end of the shift.

Essential Skills:

• Must hold a valid HGV 2 / Cat C licence. (Held for 12 months min)
• Must hold a valid driver qualification (CPC) card and valid Digital tacho card.
• Good communication skills, and customer relations.
• Have a safe driving record, with no more than 6 minor penalty points due to insurance stipulations.
• No DRs, INs or DDs offence codes due to insurance stipulations
