As an Engineering Technician , you will play a crucial role in ensuring maximum availability and reliability of production equipment across our manufacturing facilities.
This position offers an exciting opportunity to be part of an organization that combines the strengths of two industry leaders, creating an enhanced portfolio of beer and soft drinks supported by world-class operations.
Role Responsibilities: Ensure maximum equipment reliability by promptly responding to breakdowns, conducting effective repairs, and implementing preventative maintenance strategies aligned with the Britvic Work System (BWS) Maintain strict adherence to Health, Safety, Environmental & Quality procedures, including LOTO (Lock Out, Tag Out), Permit to Work systems, and all relevant statutory requirements Take ownership of site reliability performance metrics and KPIs, actively participating in continuous improvement initiatives using Lean principles (TPM, RCM, RCA, PDCA, 5S) Lead and participate in zero loss teams to optimize utilities usage and drive improvements to equipment reliability Collaborate with Operations teams to develop world-class engineering solutions that promote a culture of strong performance and professional manufacturing Maintain accurate records in the SAP PM system, ensuring proper documentation of maintenance activities and spare parts usage Support capital engineering projects in partnership with the Central Engineering Department to ensure xwzovoh successful completion within cost, quality, and time targets Experience and Key Attributes: Minimum BTEC/NVQ Level 3 qualification in a relevant Engineering discipline Strong multi-skilled background with an electrical bias, capable of understanding root causes of machine breakdowns and developing effective solutions Demonstrated experience in maintenance delivery within a manufacturing environment, preferably in Food/Beverage/FMCG industries Proficiency in continuous improvement methodologies and Lean principles, with TPM practitioner experience desirable Excellent analytical and practical skills, combined with strong IT literacy (MS Office suite) and data analysis capabilities Proven ability to manage contractors, review risk assessments, and issue permits while maintaining strict safety standards Strong communication skills with the ability to train and develop others in a collaborative team environment
