Groundworker Job Overview We are currently recruiting for an experienced Civil Operative / Groundworker to join our team on a contract basis. The successful candidate will be responsible for carrying out a range of groundworks and civil engineering duties on site, ensuring all work is completed safely, efficiently, and to a high standard. Key Responsibilities Carry out general groundworks and civil operative duties on site. Excavation, trenching, ducting, backfilling, and reinstatement works. Assist with installation of utilities, drainage, and associated civil infrastructure. Operate safely in line with site Health & Safety procedures. Work effectively as part of a site team to meet project deadlines. Maintain a clean and safe working environment. Ensure all PPE is worn and maintained correctly at all times. Essential Requirements Valid NG Person certification. Manual Handling certificate. Previous experience working as a Groundworker / Civil Operative. Strong understanding of site Health & Safety procedures. Ability to work effectively within a team environment. Full PPE required before attending site. Desirable Skills Additional plant tickets or utility experience advantageous. Experience working on utilities or infrastructure projects preferred.
