Director of Fire & Facade Engineering

A progressive multidisciplinary consultancy is seeking an experienced Director of Fire & Facade Engineering to establish and lead their growing Fire Engineering and Facade Engineering business unit. This is a senior strategic appointment offering the successful candidate the opportunity to shape a new division, build a specialist team and develop long-term client relationships across the residential, commercial, mixed-use and high-rise sectors. The Director of Fire & Facade Engineering's Role The successful Director will work closely with the company's existing Directors to develop the business unit, secure new instructions and oversee the delivery of technically complex projects. Responsibilities will include: Leading fire engineering and facade engineering commissions Developing existing and prospective client relationships Supporting business development, bids and fee proposals Recruiting and mentoring a specialist technical team Providing strategic and technical oversight Ensuring projects comply with current fire safety and Building Regulations requirements Supporting facade remediation, external wall and building safety projects The Director of Fire & Facade Engineering The ideal candidate will have: Extensive fire engineering, facade engineering or building safety experience A relevant engineering or construction-related degree Chartered status with a recognised professional body Strong knowledge of UK fire safety and building regulations Previous team leadership or business unit management experience A proven client network or the ability to generate new work Strong commercial and stakeholder-management skills In Return? £90,000-£120,000 Bonus scheme Potential equity or profit-share opportunity Hybrid working Private healthcare Pension contribution Professional membership fees Senior leadership autonomy Opportunity to build and lead a specialist divisionRef: LB22479 If you're a Fire Professional looking to seek new career opportunities please contact Lauren Banks at Brandon James on (phone number removed).
