Breast Radiology Consultant

We have been asked by an NHS Trust in South Wales to help them recruit a Consultant Breast Radiologist, either on a substantive or NHS Fixed Term basis.

About the Role

The successful appointee will work at a dedicated, purpose-built breast centre within the hospital, equipped with clinic rooms, state-of-the-art radiology facilities, counselling rooms, a multidisciplinary teaching room, staff offices, and a patient exercise gym. The team currently includes four full-time Consultant Onco-plastic Breast Surgeons, a Specialty Doctor, dedicated Breast Care Nurses, a research team, and a physiotherapist.

Responsibilities

1. Undertake both symptomatic and screening assessment clinics.
2. Provide radiology expertise with breast and axillary ultrasound.
3. Perform ultrasound-guided core biopsies or stereotactic-guided core biopsies as required.
4. Support the training and ongoing work of allied health professionals within the breast services.

Job Details

• Full-time or part-time hours considered.
• Location: Excellent, desirable part of Wales, blending rural and urban living.
• Salary: £82,356 to £106,920 per annum, plus up to £26,672 in Commitment Awards.
• 10 Programmed Activities (PAs).
• Must have GMC registration.
