Band 7 Echocardiographer (Cardiac Physiologist)

Overview Princess Alexandra Hospital (PAH) is seeking dedicated and enthusiastic Echocardiographers to join the Cardiac Outpatients Department on a long-term placement contract. This role is ideal for experienced professionals who can independently perform and report echocardiograms using GE Echo machines. Candidates should have a minimum of two years' post-qualification scanning experience. BSE accreditation is desirable but not essential. This is an excellent opportunity to broaden your NHS experience within a supportive cardiology team. Key Responsibilities * Independently perform and report echocardiographic examinations. * Use GE Echo machines to conduct high-quality cardiac imaging and assessments. * Deliver accurate diagnostic findings to support patient management and clinical decision-making. * Maintain professional standards and contribute to the effective delivery of cardiac diagnostic services. * Work collaboratively within the cardiac outpatient multidisciplinary team. * Ensure compliance with departmental protocols, clinical governance requirements, and patient safety standards. Essential Requirements * BSc in Clinical Physiology or equivalent qualification. * Significant post-qualification experience across a broad range of cardiac physiology procedures. * Minimum of two years' independent echocardiography scanning experience. * Ability to independently scan and report echocardiograms. * Evidence of ongoing professional development. * Previous NHS experience. * Current UK professional registration. Desirable Requirements * British Society of Echocardiography (BSE) accreditation. Additional Information The role is subject to a Disclosure and Barring Service (DBS) check.
