Overview
Deloitte’s Workday Financial Management Practice, within our Enterprise Applications Service Line, is seeking a Workday Finance Lead to drive advisory and delivery projects, manage business requirements, and lead the implementation of Workday finance solutions for global clients.
Responsibilities
- Engage in advisory and delivery projects, from transformation strategy to full lifecycle delivery.
- Map business requirements to Workday configurations across GL, Supplier Accounts, Customer Accounts, Banking, and Expenses.
- Collaborate with clients to develop solution architecture and end‑to‑end processes supported by Workday technology.
- Lead executive‑level workshops, challenge requirements, and translate business objectives into practical Workday designs.
Essentials
- Experience in ERP, EPM and cloud computing (storage, platforms, data).
- Relevant work experience in Finance technology or a related field.
- Finance transformation experience with Workday.
- Ability to translate business requirements into system or process designs (functional and non‑functional).
- Understanding of Workday transactional data flows and support for data migration activities.
- Experience designing/implementing ERP systems.
- Ideally, Workday Finance, FDM and Engagement Manager certification.
- Strong problem‑solving and analytical skills.
- Planning and delivery of project scope and deliverables.
- Stakeholder management with clear communication and strong client relationships.
- Clear understanding of risk in ERP delivery projects.
- Ability to work effectively in an inclusive team and support individual and team development.
- At least two end‑to‑end Workday implementations.
Desirables
- Active Workday Finance Certification (R2R, P2P, or Accounting Centre).
- Knowledge of automation, continuous integration/deployment, and cloud‑based delivery models.
- Comfortable discussing technical and business issues across audiences.
- Ability to convey complex concepts in plain language.
- Skill in crafting compelling messages tailored to audiences.
- Business domain and/or industry knowledge.
- Experience working with cross‑functional, geographically dispersed teams and clients.
- Effective cross‑functional project management, communication and stakeholder skills.
- Strong presentation and communication skills, translating business requirements into models.
- Excellent written and verbal communication abilities.
- Leadership and self‑direction.
- Consulting or professional services experience.
