A vibrant and inclusive secondary school in Newham is looking for a passionate Sociology Teacher to join their successful Humanities and Social Sciences team on a permanent basis.

What you'll be doing

• Teaching Sociology across Key Stages 4 and 5
• Delivering engaging lessons that bring sociological theories and concepts to life
• Supporting students to achieve excellent academic outcomes
• Creating a classroom environment where discussion, debate, and independent thinking thrive
• Contributing to curriculum development and departmental initiatives
• Playing an active role in the wider school community

What we're looking for

• Qualified Teacher Status (QTS)
• Experience teaching Sociology at GCSE and/or A-Level
• Strong subject knowledge and a genuine enthusiasm for the discipline
• Excellent classroom management and communication skills
• A commitment to raising achievement and supporting every learner to succeed
• ECTs and experienced teachers are both encouraged to apply
