The role & about the client:
ITS Building People are recruiting on behalf of a high-end residential contractor for an experienced Working Foreman with a strong carpentry background to join a prestigious £5m bespoke residential project in Richmond.
This is an exciting opportunity to take a leading, hands-on role in the delivery of a luxury private residence. The successful candidate will be responsible for overseeing day-to-day site operations while maintaining a strong on-site presence, ensuring exceptional quality standards are achieved throughout the 64-week programme.
Working closely with the Project Manager and specialist subcontractors, you will play a key role in coordinating trades, maintaining programme, and delivering a high-specification finish in line with client expectations.
Key responsibilities include, but are not limited to:
Oversee and manage the day-to-day running of a £5m high-end residential build.
Lead and coordinate subcontractors and direct labour on site.
Carry out hands-on carpentry work where required.
Ensure works are delivered to the highest quality standards and specifications.
Maintain strict health and safety compliance on site.
Monitor progress against programme and proactively resolve site issues.
Liaise with the Project Manager, design team, and clients as required.
Drive productivity while maintaining exceptional attention to detail.
The ideal candidate will have/be:
Proven experience as a Working Foreman on high-end residential projects.
Strong carpentry background with the ability to deliver high-quality finishes.
Experience managing bespoke or luxury residential builds (essential).
Excellent knowledge of construction processes and sequencing.
Strong leadership and communication skills.
Ability to read and interpret detailed drawings and specifications.
