Print Finishers & Bindery Operators
Job Type: Full time/Permanent
Shifts: Treble Shift Pattern (Average 40 hours per week 6am-2pm / 2pm-10pm / 10pm-6am)
Location: Wiltshire
Salary: Circa £35,000 per annum plus Overtime
One of the UK’s leading print groups has the opportunity for experienced Print Finishers, Guillotine Operators or Bindery Operators to join their team.
Working a Continental Triple shift system, you will be responsible for managing the operating bindery equipment including folders, guillotines and binding machines.
You will be responsible for producing finished products to the highest quality and as efficiently as the job and machinery will allow. If you have similar experience with print finishing or binding in a comparable environment, re-training will be considered.
Competencies:
* Previous experience in a print production or bindery environment preferred
* Knowledge of bindery equipment operation and finishing processes
* Ability to read and understand production specifications and work instructions
* Strong attention to detail and quality standards
* Good problem-solving and troubleshooting skills
* Ability to work independently and as part of a team
* Basic mechanical aptitude
* Good communication and organisational skills.
* IT Literacy
* Committed to working to high standards and under pressure
* Being organised and scheduling own time and activities, monitor progress and stay on top of own workload
* Flexible, reliable and trustworthy
Duties include:
* Set up machinery to produce jobs in line with job bag instructions.
* Allocate tasks to crew members (If applicable)
* Keep the work area tidy and machinery in good order to ensure all work is correctly labeled and quarantine procedures are followed.
* Ensure that jobs are completed in a timely manner and are inline with despatch instructions
* Ensure Company Health, safety and environmental procedures are followed.
* Personal Attributes:
* Strong numeracy and literacy skills are essential.
* Enthusiasm and drive to work within a busy department.
