Chiller & Refrigeration Service Engineer - North West Salary: Up to £46,000 Basic + Door-to-Door Travel + Overtime + Excellent Benefits An excellent opportunity has arisen for an experienced Chiller & Refrigeration Service Engineer to join a growing specialist engineering business delivering industrial refrigeration and process cooling solutions across the UK. Working across the North West, you'll be responsible for servicing, maintaining and repairing a wide range of industrial refrigeration, water chiller and process cooling equipment within sectors including food manufacturing, cold storage, pharmaceutical, manufacturing and distribution. The business is recognised for its technical expertise in ammonia, CO?, glycol and water chiller systems, offering engineers the opportunity to develop their skills on complex industrial plant. The Role As a mobile Chiller & Refrigeration Service Engineer, you'll carry out planned maintenance, reactive breakdowns, fault finding and commissioning on a variety of refrigeration and cooling systems. Typical duties include: Service, maintenance and repair of industrial refrigeration and water chiller systems Fault finding on refrigeration plant, compressors, pumps, controls and associated equipment Working on ammonia, CO?, glycol and HFC/HFO systems (experience dependent) Completing planned preventative maintenance and emergency call-outs Producing digital service reports and maintaining excellent customer relationships Ensuring all work is completed safely and to a high standard Open to Upskilling Applications are welcomed from engineers with backgrounds in: Commercial refrigeration Supermarket refrigeration Water chillers Pack systems Air conditioning with strong refrigeration experience Full industrial refrigeration and ammonia training is available for engineers looking to progress into this specialist sector. About You NVQ Level 2/3 or City & Guilds in Refrigeration & Air Conditioning F-Gas Qualification Experience servicing refrigeration or chiller equipment Strong electrical and mechanical fault-finding skills Full UK Driving Licence Desirable: Ammonia experience CO2 experience Industrial refrigeration background Package Up to £46,000 basic salary (DOE) / Potentially more for right candidate Door-to-door travel paid at overtime rate 40-hour working week Overtime at 1.5x On-call rota of 1 in 5 / 6 33 days holiday including Bank Holidays Company van with private use Fuel card Company pension Laptop, smartphone and specialist tools provided Ongoing manufacturer and technical training Genuine long-term career progression Location This is a mobile role covering the North West, with applications welcomed from engineers based around Manchester, Liverpool, Warrington, Preston, Blackburn, Bolton, Wigan, Chester and surrounding areas.
