Role Details Job Title: Children's Social Worker - Family Support & Safeguarding Organisation: Cambridgeshire County Council Contract: Permanent Salary: £41,958 - £44,822 per annum Interview: Microsoft Teams Working Pattern: Hybrid working - office, home working and statutory visits Locations: 📍 Huntingdon - PE29 3AD 📍 Wisbech - PE13 2JD 📍 Cambridge City - CB2 9NL About the Role As a Children's Social Worker within Family Support & Safeguarding, you will provide high-quality statutory social work support to vulnerable children and families. You will: Complete assessments and develop effective plans to safeguard children Undertake child protection and safeguarding interventions Ensure the voice of the child is central to your practice Build strong relationships with children, young people and families Work collaboratively with partner agencies and multi-disciplinary teams Produce clear, analytical reports and maintain accurate case records Manage risk and support positive outcomes through effective social work interventionsCambridgeshire uses a strengths-based Family Safeguarding model, supporting practitioners to work collaboratively with families and focus on sustainable change. About You We are looking for qualified Children's Social Workers with: ✅ Social Work qualification (Degree/Masters/PG Diploma/Fast Track) ✅ Active Social Work England registration ✅ Experience working with children and families ✅ Strong safeguarding and child protection knowledge ✅ Experience completing assessments and managing a caseload ✅ Excellent communication, analytical and report-writing skills ✅ Full UK driving licence and ability to travel across the county Experience within Family Support, Safeguarding, Child Protection, CIN, LAC or Children's Services is desirable.
