Are you an experienced CMM Programmer, Senior Inspector or Inspection Team Leader looking to take your career to the pinnacle of motorsport?

We're supporting a leading Formula One team in the search for a Mechanical Inspection Team Leader to join their Quality Assurance department. This is a rare opportunity to combine hands-on technical inspection with leadership responsibilities in one of the world's most demanding engineering environments.

You'll remain actively involved in advanced metrology and CMM programming while leading and developing a highly skilled inspection team responsible for ensuring every component meets the exacting standards required for Formula One performance.

What You'll Be Doing

Leading the day-to-day activities of the Mechanical Inspection team

Programming and operating CMMs using PC-DMIS

Conducting dimensional inspection of precision-machined components

Interpreting complex engineering drawings and GD&T specifications

Supporting quality investigations and root cause analysis

Coordinating inspection priorities to support manufacturing schedules

Mentoring and developing inspectors within the department

Driving continuous improvement across inspection processes and reporting

Skills & Experience Required

Strong background in Mechanical Inspection, Metrology or Quality Inspection

Hands-on experience programming CMMs using PC-DMIS

Excellent understanding of GD&T and engineering drawings

Experience within precision engineering, motorsport, aerospace, automotive or advanced manufacturing environments

Strong knowledge of machining processes and manufacturing methods

Previous experience leading, mentoring or coordinating inspection teams

Experience using ERP/MRP systems such as SAP, IFS or similar

Desirable

• Formula One or Motorsport experience

• PolyWorks experience

• Quality Team Leader or Lead Inspector experience

• Continuous Improvement / Lean Manufacturing knowledge
